Regina Skarzinskas lives in Beaverton, OR with her wonderful large family of children (6), grandchildren (6), and assorted dogs and cats. In addition to her Havanese, she owns a purebred Bouvier Des Flandres, and purebred Ragdoll and British Shorthair cats.  Regina has owned purebred dogs since 1980. After years of larger dogs she became interested in smaller breeds. The personality, temperament and size of the Havanese breed was an exact fit. Her involvement with Havanese dogs and Rescue began in 2002. She is an associate member in good standing of the Cascade Havanese Club and a founding member of the Oregon Trail Havanese Club. She is also a member of the Havanese Club of

America (www.havanese.org ) and Chairman of the HCA Public Education Committee. Regina is also the Oregon coordinator for Havanese Rescue Inc (www.havaneserescue.com) and a volunteer for the HCA Havanese Rescue and Placement.

Raising our puppies is a family affair. Younger daughters Lizzy and Hayley are involved with puppy care from the early days of the ENS exercises to grooming and showing our Havanese. Our puppies are lovingly raised in our home to ensure they receive the proper foundation to make their transition to their new home as smooth as possible. At 8 weeks, a puppy structure and temperament evaluation is conducted on each puppy in the litter to give us an even better idea of which puppy would be most suitable for prospective owners. Beginning with our selective breeding program, we carefully monitor nutritional needs of the dame and puppies, provide early neurological stimulation and puppy socialization, and carefully screen applicants to ensure all puppies and potential puppy buyers are fully prepared for each other by the time they are ready to go to their new homes. Ideal homes for Havadoros Havanese will view their new Havanese puppy as a valued member of the family, first and foremost. And we love to see pictures and hear about all of the successes of our kids after they leave home!
