| Imagine how excited we were when the calendar pointed to a Halloween litter. Originally called Gomez... the charming, romancing and funny counterpart to Morticia, he was a dashing young stud from the get go. Even as a tiny pup, he would show off and stack just about anywhere. No surprise that we decided to keep him for show . Registered as Havadoros No Apologies, "Apollo" was our first bred-by boy to enter the show ring. Canby, Oregon: (June 2007) Apollo made his show debut on Sunday where he took his class (Bred-By) and followed that with Winner’s Dog for a 3 point Major. Not bad for his first time in the ring. He was shown by Lizzy, who enjoyed the wins at least as much as Apollo! Over the next two months, Apollo and littermate Cara alternated wins. Apollo finished with 16 points in August 2007. Portland, OR Stumptown shows: (July 2007) What a weekend it was for us! On Saturday, Apollo took Bred-By (dog) and Winner’s Dog. On Sunday, Apollo took his class, Bred By Exhibitor (Dog) and Reserve Winner’s Dog. He was shown by Lizzy. Enumclaw, Washington: (August 2007) Another terrific weekend for Havadoros. On Sunday, Apollo took the 5 point major. This finished his AKC Championiship. Apollo has been at home being a teenager over the last year. Watch for him to hit the show ring as a special in the summer of 2008. |
